PCBS\u2019 Internal Trade Statistics Program is part of the Economic Statistics Program, which is part of the larger program for establishing the System of Official Statistics for Palestine. PCBS initiated, in the reference year 1994, the economic surveys series. The series includes, in addition to Internal Trade survey, surveys on industry, Services, construction-contractors, and transport and storage sectors for the purpose of establishing a time series data base of economic activities in line with international recommendations specified in System of National Account (SNA) 93 and in the UN manual for Services Statistics. The sampling frame for the different economic surveys was based on the findings of the 2004 Establishment Census conducted by PCBS. The services survey provide data needed for: \n\nObjectives:\nThe objective of the survey was to obtain data on:\n\n1. Number of enterprises and persons engaged in Internal Trade by activity and location.\n2. Value of output, intermediate consumption and stocks.\n3. Value added components.\n4. Payments and transfers.\n5. Capital formation.\n6. Contribution of the surveyed activities to the GDP and other National Accounts variables.\n\nTarget Population\n\nPCBS depends on the International and Industrial Classification of all economic activities, version 3, (ISIC - 3) by the United Nation to classify the economic activities. All enterprises and establishments are classified according to the Establishments Census 2007, which works in agreement with (ISIC - 3). \nThe Internal trade survey covers the following activities:\n1.\tSale & repair of motor vehicles .\n2.\tWholesale trade & commission trade .\n3.\tRetail trade, repair of personal goods .","time_periods":[{"start":"2009-01-01","end":"2009-12-31","cycle":""}],"coll_dates":[{"start":"2010-01-06","end":"2010-05-28","cycle":""}],"nation":[{"name":"Palestine","abbreviation":"PSE"}],"geog_coverage":"West Bank and Gaza Strip","geog_unit":"West Bank and Gaza Strip","analysis_unit":"Enterprise constitutes the primary sampling unit (PSU)","universe":"The Internal trade survey covers the following activities:\n1.\tSale & repair of motor vehicles .\n2.\tWholesale trade & commission trade .\n3.\tRetail trade, repair of personal goods .","data_kind":"Sample survey data [ssd]","notes":"Identification data\t\nData about enterprise assets.\t\nPurchasing goods for selling purpose.\t\nEmployed persons and their compensations\t\nVarious payments and transfers\t\nOther output expenses\t\nGoods productions\t\nGoods Production Inputs\t\nRevenues of Services Rendered to Others\t\nTaxes on production and fees\t\nVarious transfers and revenues"},"method":{"data_collection":{"data_collectors":[{"name":"Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics","abbreviation":"PCBS","affiliation":"Palestinian National Authority"}],"sampling_procedure":"The sample of the Internal trade Survey is a single-stage stratified random - systematic sample in which the enterprise constitutes the primary sampling unit (PSU).
